ADHD Therapy Toronto
What is ADHD? Why does everyone experience ADHD differently?
Can you notice the signs of ADHD?
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects many adults, teens, and children. ADHD is unfortunately widely misunderstood. Many people downplay the seriousness of its symptoms or life effects, and some people may even believe the condition does not exist. Yet, ADHD is very real and can have significant effects on our personal, interpersonal, and occupational lives.
While ADHD brings enough challenges by itself, it is most common for people with ADHD to have one or more other mental health issues as well. Most commonly these include anxiety, depression, and anger, but other issues such as OCD, Tourette’s syndrome, and learning disabilities also frequently co-occur with ADHD. There are different sub-types of ADHD and individuals' experiences with ADHD can vary widely.
